Microsoft Image X is one of the tools that can be selected to be used used to create and restore images using the Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) 3.x product.
Currently the image x imageing is not working on all combinations of Client OS and automation. It was left in the product from the migration from 6.9 for legacy purposes.
Ghost Solution Suite 3.1 MP4 and earlier.
When selecting Image X as the tool to create or a disk image the resulting job will report a success but the image will either not be created or will only be 8 megs in size. Disk restore tasks using existing image x images may also not restore correctly.
This issue is resolved in the MP5 release for Ghost Solution suite. See the MP5 release notes for more information on this release.

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time. However, the issue has been addressed in the revision of the product specified at the end of this article.
