Issue/Introduction

The BCMNFCBus_257 driver (and other Broadcom NFC drivers) is not installed by the DeployAnywhere process

The BCMNFCBus_257 driver (and other Broadcom NFC drivers) show up in device manager with a yellow exclamation point next to them.

Cause

While the driver for the BCMNFCBus_257 (and other Broadcom NFC drivers) are included in the Dell Enterprise driver pack (e.g. http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/7938.latitude-e74507450-windows-7-driver-pack), DA cannot install the driver in its extracted form because the device and vendor ID's that are shown on the physical hardware BUS do not match any of the device and vendor IDs in the INF files.

Note:  If the driver executable is downloaded directly from Dell's support site (under security choose 'Dell ControlVault Driver') and ran it installs successfully.  Note that this executable does not have an option to extract out the files for use by drivermanagement/DA. This means the driver must be installed using the provided executable.

Resolution

Download the 'Dell ControlVault Driver' from Dell's website and use either a run script task or software delivery to install the driver.  The 'Dell ControlVault Driver' will install the drivers for all Broadcom NFC devices that appear in device manager.
