After removing another solution (PC Anywhere) the SMP logs were suddenly full of errors similar to the following excerpt. Both Tasks and agent events (NSE files) were not able to be posted to their respective processing queues.

Symantec Management Platform 7.6 HF7
It is possible the removal of the solution was the cause or something else the admin who uninstalled it did, but the root of the problem was that certain Profiler functions (methods) had been removed or unregistered in the database.
The problem was corrected by opening Symantec Installation Manager, selecting the most recent installed platform (in this case it was Symantec Management Platform 7.6 HF7 ) and selecting the option to “Repair”
The reconfiguration reinstalled the missing methods, and re-imported the necessary database elements.
