Subject line display is corrupted in spam quarantine
Last Updated August 30, 2016
When a message with a Simplified Chinese (GB2312 or GB18030) encoding is delivered to the Messaging Gateway (SMG) spam quarantine, the subject line is not properly displayed when the quarantine message display is set to "Auto-Detect". The same message subject, however, is properly displayed in message audit logs.
The message audit log (MAL) automatically normalizes the character set display to use UTF-8 rather than the original Simplified Chinese code pages.
This is a known issue and will be addressed in a future release. Please subscribe to this article to be automatically notified of any updates.
The message subject line will be properly displayed if the correct character set is selected in the quarantine message display pull down menu rather than using "Auto-Detect"
