Unable to find a report that shows what Jobs or Tasks are running on all managed computers. What can I use to see this information?
There is not an out-of-box report that shows this information.
The following SQL script shows all Jobs or Tasks that are running on Computers along with the Task Start Time and the Task Status
To implement, please follow the steps provided after the script.
select distinct c.Name [Computer], i.Name [Job], itask.Name [Task], CAST(eti.StartTime as nvarchar (111)) as 'Start Time', case eti.instancestatus when 0 then 'Not started' when 1 then 'Started' when 2 then 'Completed' when 3 then 'Failed' when 4 then 'Stop Requested' else 'unknown' end 'Instance Status' from Evt_Task_Instances eti join vComputer c on c.Guid = eti._ResourceGuid join ItemVersions iv on iv.VersionGuid = eti.TaskVersionGuid join Item i on i.Guid = iv.ItemGuid left join ItemReference ir on ir.ParentItemGuid = i.Guid and ir.Hint = 'jobusestask' left join Item itask on itask.Guid = ir.ChildItemGuid where eti.EndTime is null
In The Symantec Management Console, browse under Reports > All Reports.
Pick or create a folder to hold the report.
Right-click on the folder and choose New > Report > SQL Report
Name the report, such as: All Tasks and Jobs currently running on All Computers
Paste the above query into the Parameterized query window.
Click Save Changes.
The report should then run, showing the data.
