Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. Fix the problem and try again.
This can be caused by any of the following:
Windows implements specific model of encryption key storage and retrieval. When a process needs to be completed, such as an application that needs to be installed, Windows KeyStorage API accesses several encryption key directories in order for operation to complete: Key Storage and Retrieval
Directories for encryption keys are accessed for several reasons. For example, to enumerate available algorithm keys: CNG Key Storage Functions
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18\ - Contains RSA encryption key pairs for both the computer and users. If this folder cannot be accessed by Windows KeyStorage API due to improper permissions, either for the user or the process, this error can occur.
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18\ - The encryption keys located in this folder may not be needed for installation, but the folder still needs to be accessed. Any mismatch or corruption of this folder may result in this error.
Navigate to the folder "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18\".
Rename the folder to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18_old".
Restart the installation. The error should no longer appear.
Note: Windows will recreate the folder once you restart the computer.
