CCS Console installed on Application server works without any issue. However, on Remote CCS Console, while accessing Assets or Standards Menu from Manage throws an error message -
Failed to retrieve data.
This may occured due to any of the following reasons: 1. CCS Application Server is not running or responding. 2. CCS Directory service is not running or responding. 3. Connection to the database server could not be established. 4. You may not have access to one or more of the above services.
Below ports are open:
Symantec Directory Support Service
Required by the CCS Console to communicate with the Symantec Directory Support Service.
Symantec Encryption Management Service
Required by the CCS Console to communicate with the Symantec Encryption Management Service
Required by the Application Server to connect to the Symantec ADAM/ADLDS instance.
Required by the CCS Console for Secured Communication with the Directory Service.
Symantec Application Server Service
Required by the CCS Console to communicate with the Application Server.
1. Access Manage -> Assets
2. Access Manage -> Standards
Port 139 and Port 445 are blocked in between CCS Application Server and Remote CCS Console.
Generally, above ports remain open in most of the environments however due to hardening or strict security policies applied ports may not be open state.
