Issue/Introduction

When installing or upgrading to DCS 6.7, java error occurs when entering the "sa" privileged User in the "domain\username" format in the Create Database section of the install wizard.

Error similar to this:

java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key database.database.sa.user

Cause

The installer has a validation check for the password used.  The validation check is as follows.

1. Length required 1-29,

2. Allowed characters a-z & A-Z,

3. Username must start with an alphabetical character.

In this case, validation fails because of the "\" character between domain and username.

Resolution

Only use the "sa" privileged account in the user field with no special characters or numbers until this known issue is addressed in the DCS 6.7 MP1 release.
