In the Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEPC) portal newly enrolled devices overwrite previously installed devices listed in portal.

Device overwrites previously installed device in the portal.
Due to how the product was identifying individual clients through the Windows Serial number, clients with the same serial number would register as the same device and overwrite the previous device in the portal.
This issue was addressed by an infrastructure fix on 1/17/2017. No action is necessary on the user's part to resolve the issue.
Windows clients may have different OLP ID but same serial number. In addition, there are multiple machines with serial numbers as "To be filled by OEM" & "System serial number".
For non windows 10 machines, we have observed that multiple machines can have same serial numbers.
We cannot use Serial number as unique identifiers for Windows 10 machines. To identify existing records we currently rely on only OLP Id for Windows
