When installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition cloud (SEP SBE), an error is observed.
Installation not completed
The Installer could not install all the selected components. The following action is recommended: Windows Installer has returned the following message: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2203. ". Please resolve the issue and retry.
The presence of competitive security applications protecting directories or invalid permissions on certain directories.
You will need to check for security products and/or check permissions on the machine:
Check for and remove competitive security products such as McAfee, Trend Micro, Kaspersky, etc. followed by rebooting the system. If this does not resolve error, try step 2.
Check for full permissions to administrator accounts on the C:\Temp folder. Create the C:\Temp folder manually if not found. If this does not resolve error, try step 3.
Review any notifications or alerts on the Server Manager dashboard for more information on permission issues.
