The VIP Enterprise Gateway Configuration Console password has been forgotten or lost.
If the password is known, the steps in TECH19019 can be used.
If the password is not known, please open a case with Symantec Technical Support and provide them with the console_realm.properties file located in <VIP_Enterprise_Gateway_Install>/conf/ directory. (Please retain a backup copy of this file). Technical Support will return the file to you with the reset password, and the steps in TECH19019 can then be used to set your password. The Gateway services will need to be stopped to replace the console_realm.properties file, and you will need local administrator privileges.
Note: Only an authorized contact listed on the VIP Manager Account tab is authorized to request this operation. If that person is no longer the Authorized Contact, please contact refer to this document.
