When you send test emails within the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), sending fails and you receive the following error.
Failed to send test email. Please check the following:
Email server settings
System administrator email address: [email_address]
Endpoint Protection Manager logs email errors to the scm-ui*.err log files, which are useful when you troubleshoot test email failures.
These log files are located in the temporary directory of the currently logged on user. For example, when you log on as an "Administrator" on Windows Server 2012 R2, the log files are located in C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp
