ATP alerts are currently hyperlinked to the IP address instead of the FQDN of the server. This causes certificate warnings when following links from the email notifications. How can we change this to hostnames?

Create a certificate with IP address in the common name.
Create a certificate with your CN, but have it match the IP address. With multiple Domain certificates you can secure a larger number of domains with only one certificate. Subject to Alternative Names which is a x509 version 3 (RFC 2459) extension to allow an SSL certificate to specify multiple names that the certificate should match. The 'SubjectAltName' can contain email address, IP address or regular DNS host names, etc. This uses an SSL feature called SubjectAlternativeName (or SAN, for short). In both approaches you will have to use an IP address somewhere or other.
