Can Packetshaper classify traffic inside IPsec or L2TP or GRE tunnels?
IPsec (IP Security), is a set of protocols to support secure exchange of packets at the IP layer and is widely used in VPNs. L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol), is a protocol that enables ISPs to operate VPNs.
PacketShaper cannot peek inside the encrypted traffic so it classifies this type of traffic by the type of VPN (L2TP, IPsec, GRE, etc.). You will be able to dedicate bandwidth or give high priority to these kinds of traffic if you want, but you will not be able to prioritize by service type within the tunnel.
