SSO max thread limit reached. Can't create on-demand thread. SSO max thread limit reached. You may need to increase the MaxSSOThreads parameter in sso.ini.
When BCCA starts, it uploads all the user data (username and accompanying IP address information) into the Cloud. That username to IP address mapping persists for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes that data gets refreshed. When this error occurs, it appears that the concentrator is sending a burst of usernames to the auth connector for IP address updates. There is one thread per request. If there are more requests that come in than BCCA currently has threads running, it will spawn new threads until BCCA reaches the configured maximum number of threads. The default number of threads is 25. Those 25 threads are very efficient and within a short amount of time they are able to handle the requests made by the cloud and get everything updated. When not in use, the unutilized threads will be terminated.
To help reduce the number of errors that are returned in the Windows event log, you can go into the SSO.INI file and increase the number of threads. You can increase it from 25 to 100 and restart BCCA and review your logs to see if the errors continue or not. To make a change, please do the following:
1.) Go to C:\Program Files\Blue Coat Systems\BCCA 2.) Find the sso.ini and open to edit it. 3.) Add the following lines to the bottom of your sso.ini file:
4.) Save and close the file. 5.) Restart BCCA.
NOTE: The errors may persist even with 100 threads running and active. This should not affect performance.
