The following message displays in the Director Management Console when you try to install the license:
License installation failed: Updating the License information to database failed. Expiration date may be invalid. Generate a new license file at the Symantec Licensing Portal, and try again. if you need assistance, contact Symantec support.
This error occurs if the /var/ partition does not have much free space. Confirm your Director's /var/ partition size in the shell console.
To log on to the shell console, enter the following commands in the CLI:
director >enable director # director #conf t director (config) #shell sh-3.2# sh-3.2#df -k /var
