Shutting down the EdgeSWG (formerly ProxySG)

You are trying find the command or recommended way to shut down the ProxySG Hardware appliance or Virtual Appliance

Resolution

There is no 'shutdown' command for ProxySG Hardware appliances. To shut down a ProxySG, simply power it off.  If your ProxySG does not have a power switch, you can disconnect the power going to the ProxySG.

However, for ProxySG Virtual Appliances, there is a 'shutdown' command. To avoid losing recent configuration changes, it is recommended to use the shutdown command before powering off the SWG VA.
