Issue/Introduction

The Blue Coat content filter denied exception page returns instead of the Websense off-box error page
The Websense off-box error page is not being returned
Only the standard Blue Coat content filter denied page is being returned

Resolution

The Blue Coat exception is selected by default. If the error page is served from the ProxySG, the overhead is reduced by more than 50%.

To display the Websense off-box error page please do the following:

  1. Go to the Management Console > Configuration tab > External Services > Websense > Edit
  2. Uncheck ‘Serve exception page when content is blocked’ option
  3. Click on the "OK" and "Apply" buttons to save your changes.
