How can I clear or reset the ProxyClient uninstall password?
Introduction to the bcpcpassword Utility
The bcpcpassword utility is provided with the ProxyClient 22.214.171.124 to set and to clear the uninstall password. Administrators can use this utility to relax tamper resistance on the client computer to troubleshoot issues. For example, by entering the uninstall password, an administrator can start and stop the ProxyClient service, enable or disable drivers, and so on.
Starting with ProxyClient 126.96.36.199, you can configure an uninstall password on the Client Manager, which enables tamper resistance helps secure the configuration and policy as follows:
A user cannot uninstall the ProxyClient software unless the user is a local administrator who knows the uninstall password.
A user cannot stop the ProxyClient service using the Services application in the Windows Control Panel, or net stop from the command line. (This includes local administrators.)
Whether or not an uninstall password is configured, users cannot view or edit the ProxyClient configuration file.
