What is the difference between the Threshold Monitor and the Health Monitor with respect to Acceptance Regulation?
The threshold monitor limits are completely independent from the health monitoring thresholds. The Threshold Monitor (TM) controls when acceptance regulation kicks in (it starts when you are above 80% and stops only after you drop below 75%), whereas the health monitoring thresholds are used to decide when to report that the system health is warning (staying more than 2 minutes at above 90% memory utilization) or critical (staying more than 2 minutes at above 95%). The threshold monitor limits are not currently tunable by the user. The health monitoring thresholds and intervals are tunable, but they will only affect when SGOS reports a system health problem, not when SGOS enters acceptance regulation.
