Why am I getting certificate warning/ authentication prompt when going to virtual URL of authentication?
In a newly deployed SSL interception environment, while accessing https websites you are getting authentication prompt or certificate warning for the virtual URL as below.
The issue occurs due to mismatch in virtual URL and Proxy’s certificate’s CN name.
In order to resolve this issue, please ensure that both CN field in the certificate and the virtual URL hostname (as defined in the authentication realm) match. For example, if your CN field in the certificate is proxysg, ensure that you have the virtual URL as: https://proxysg:<port>.
Also ensure that the hostname 'proxysg' resolves to the IP of your proxy from your internal host PCs.
