The following SNMP traps are sent from the SSLV appliance when a Link Up or Link Down Event occurs.
Jan 23 11:41:09 .126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.5.4 Normal "Status Events" SSLV - Link up on interface 4. Admin state: No Such Instance currently exists at this OID. Operational state: 1 Jan 23 11:41:09 .184.108.40.206.220.127.116.11.5.3 Normal "Status Events" SSLV - Link down on interface 5. Admin state: No Such Instance currently exists at this OID. Operational state: 2
Link Up and Link Down SNMP traps contain the ifIndex, ifAdminStatus and ifOperStatus OID's.
A unique value for each interface
The desired state of the interface
The current operational state of the interface
The Admin state shows "No Such Instance currently exists at this OID" since there is no value sent when this trap is generated. Thinking in terms of a switch or router the Admin Status has to be specifically enabled or disabled with the appropriate command. There is no such concept in the SSLV appliance since the individual traffic interfaces cannot be managed.
