Why is the Peak (bps) value for a specific class in the Monitor Traffic window different from the peak on the graph for the same class?
The Peak (bps) value in the Monitor Traffic window is a one second, instantaneous peak for the traffic class. Because of the bursty nature of TCP, you will see peaks like this when looking at 1 or 5 second interval data. The graphs, however, display AVERAGE bps over a one minute or one hour interval (depending on the chart selected). This average value will always be lower than the peak data.
