You update the central policy file hosted on a web server, but the appliance does not automatically install it even though the "Automatically install new Policy when central file changes" option is selected (
Configuration > Policy > Policy Files).
The appliance checks for changes only on the first line of the file. If the change does not involve the first line of the file, the appliance assumes that there were NO changes and does NOT install the central policy file.
Add a comment at the top of the file, for example indicating a version number or date, and then save the file. The appliance detects the comment as a change and install the file automatically. The following is an example of a comment:
; central policy version 123
