Under certain scenarios, it may be beneficial to run
Memtest86+ on the SSL Visibility appliance to verify a suspected hardware issue is potentially memory related.
Make sure you have a VGA monitor and a USB keyboard ready before starting this procedure.
Reboot the appliance via a serial console connection:
> platform reboot
Select Memtest86+ in the GRUB menu:
Once Memtest86+ is loaded, the serial console will not show any further progress. Test progress can only be observed via a VGA monitor and a USB keyboard (to control it) directly connected at the back of the appliance.
Memtest86+ will keep repeating the test until you hit ESC from the keyboard. You will be able to monitor the progress and see if there is a memory related error or not. Once you hit ESC, the SSL Visibility appliance will resume regular boot sequence.
