How to Collect Diagnostics in SSL Visibility versions 3.x.

The purpose of this article is to provide the steps required to collect diagnostics data from an SSLV device.
Through the Web GUI:
Go to Monitor > Diagnostics
Check all boxes and specify the time period for the data.
Click OK. The appliance will start the process and after it is finished, the browser will start to download the diagnostics to your computer.
Go to MySymantec Portal and upload the diagnostics to the support ticket.
Options for Diagnostics Collection:
PKI: Certificate Data Policy: All the policies Configuration Platform: All the current hardware information (Temp,memory, etc)
SSL Statistics: The historical report of the SSL sessions with errors. Host Statistics: The historical report of the Host communication. NFP Statistics: The historical NFP chip Statistics
Platform Status Statistics: The historical Hardware Information Platform Interface Statistics: The historical Interfaces information
Through the CLI:
Use the following commands to collect diagnostics data through the CLI. diags select
Parameters: [from] <MM-DD-YYYY> - Start date for statistics history [to] <MM-DD-YYYY> - End date for statistics history Flags (optional): At least one flag must be specified. [pki] - Include PKI store summary [policy] - Include policy [platform] - Include platform state [ssl-stats] - Include SSL statistics history [host-stats] - Include host statistics history [npu-stats] - Include NPU statistics history [platform-stats] - Include platform statistics history [interface-stats] - Include external interface statistics history
diags start Start diagnostics collection
diags status Check diagnostics status
After the process is finished you will be able to grab the files through an SCP client (such as Cygwin or a Linux machine). Details are provided by the output.
Example: file available via scp: Linux/Mac: scp <user>@<appliance>:diagnostics-source.tgz diagnostics-destination.tgz
After that, please go to MySymantec Portaland upload the file to the ticket.
