Newer models of Security Analytics hard drives have the ability to be encrypted. Encryption is not automatic and must be configured manually.
Use the following command from the CLI to determine if:
megacli -ldinfo –Lall -aall
The output of the command should look like the below. If Encryption Type is None, then the drives are not encrypted.
