Issue/Introduction

Newer models of Security Analytics hard drives have the ability to be encrypted.  Encryption is not automatic and must be configured manually.

Resolution

Use the following command from the CLI to determine if:

  1. Are my drives encrypted or not?
  2. If they are encrypted, what kind of encryptions are they using?

megacli -ldinfo –Lall -aall

The output of the command should look like the below.  If Encryption Type is None, then the drives are not encrypted.
