Determine whether your Network Protection Host Categorization license is valid:

1. Access https://services.bluecoat.com/eservice_enu/licensing/sso.cgi.
2. On the left, select your product (SSL Visibility) and then License Download.
3. Enter just the device serial number.

If your license is valid, follow the steps in the Resolution section below.
If your license is not valid, contact Network Protection Customer Care.  Click HERE for contact information.

Step 1 (To follow on our Licensing Portal):

1. Access https://services.bluecoat.com/eservice_enu/licensing/sso.cgi.
2. On the left, select your product (SSL Visibility) then License Download.
3. Enter just the device serial number.
4. Click on Download License (*.bcl file will be downloaded).
5. Take note of the Network Protection Host Categorization username and password. (Need it on step 3).

Step 2 (To follow on the SSL Visibility Platform Management):

1. Access to https://Your-Appliance-IP
2. Click on your Appliance Name in the top menu and select License.
3. On the License configuration, click on the Add button.
4. When the Install License window came up, click on Select File and locate downloaded *.bcl file. Finally, click Add.

Step 3 (To follow on the SSL Visibility Platform Management):

1. On Policies menu, select Host Categorization Lists.
2. Click on Blue Coat on the Host Categorization Providers area.
3. On Host Categorization Database Settings click on Edit and complete the following fields:
   1. URL: https://list.bluecoat.com/bcwf/activity/download/bcwf.db
   2. Username and password (From Step 1).
   3. Note: If your internet connection is managed by a Proxy, complete also Proxy settings fields.
4. Click OK.
5. On the Host Categorization Database Status, click on Download now button.
