Issue/Introduction

When you configure a SEPM controller and click Save, you see an error flash for just a few milliseconds that states, "Failed to retrieve a token with sufficient access privilege."

Cause

This occurs when the admin account has not been given Site admin rights.

Note :The admin must be a "System Administrator" level admin under SEPM. (Limited Administrator or Administrator account would not work).

Resolution

When creating the SEPM account, you must give the admin account Site-level privileges and must be System Administrator of SEPM .

The user must also be a Endpoint account and does not use Active Directory authenitcation.
