Host Integrity and Endpoint Protection for Macintosh
Last Updated July 06, 2017
Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) includes Host Integrity (HI) rule options for the SEP for Macintosh client. However, the client does not process the rules for compliance.
Host Integrity originally was a key component technology included in the Symantec Network Access Control (SNAC) and Sygate products. With the release of SEP 12.1 RU5 (12.1.5337.5000), Host Integrity was included as a component of SEP, no longer reliant entirely on SNAC licensing and components.

SEP for Mac does not include the necessary functionality to process and utilize Host Integrity for compliance checking. The Mac client Host Integrity options are retained for compatibility with those environments which still leverage the SNAC Gateway Enforcer.
