In older builds of the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), the Host Integrity (HI) policy may list options for the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) for Macintosh client. However, the client does not process the rules for compliance.
HI was originally a key component technology included in the Symantec Network Access Control (SNAC) and Sygate products. With the release of SEP 12.1 RU5 (12.1.5337.5000), Host Integrity was included as a component of SEP, no longer reliant entirely on SNAC licensing and components.
SEP for Mac does not include the necessary functionality to process and utilize Host Integrity for compliance checking.
As of the 14.2 SEP release, Mac options were removed from the SEPM HI policy.
