Why am I not getting reporting alerts on every request?

After configuring one or more reporting alerts under Service -> Reporting -> Reporting Alerts, you do not immediately get an email alerting you when the criteria you defined has been met.
The reporting alerts feature will send out an email every hour, instead of immediately when the criteria you defined has been met. This hourly alert will email an excel file containing a list of all the occurrences that happened within the past hour.
