Issue/Introduction

You enable Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Web Security Service (WSS) Traffic Redirection (WTR). The proxy auto-configuration (PAC) file settings for WSS Traffic Redirection disables your current custom PAC file settings. After you disable WSS Traffic Redirection, you expect your custom PAC file settings to be restored in your browser, but instead, it uses system proxy settings.

Cause

WSS Traffic Redirection manages enterprise environment proxy settings. Firefox uses a different method for deploying the normal user proxy settings and enterprise environment proxy settings.

Resolution

Whenever there is a change in the browser proxy settings through the use of a PAC file, a browser restart is required.
