Error "Hardware is not supported for endpoint recording, upgrade your hardware" when setting up the SEPM setting on ATP 3.0 and later

When adding the Symantec Endpoint Manager settings into the Advanced Threat Protection software version 3.0 or later, you see an error stating that the hardware is not supported for endpoint recording.
The ATP software is running on the ATP 8840 platform
The ATP 8840 appliance is not certified for EDR 2.0 or the Endpoint Data Recorder function of EDR 2.0.
