All platform and OS versions are delivered to all computers for plug-in installs, including Software Management Solution Plug-in, Software Update Plug-in, Inventory Plug-in, Application Metering Plug-in.
During the upgrade or install failures cause this situation to occur.
Starting in 8.1 RU6 this situation will be flagged as a failure when the upgrade or install occurs.
The only way we could correct this was to run a Full Repair. This is done using the following option:
Launch Symantec Installation Manager (SIM).
Click on the option: Repair installed products.
Click on the option: Peform full repair, and click: Next >.
Click Next > to begin the process.
Verify the database information and click Next >.
When complete, the issue should be resolved when clients update their configuration.
