Issue/Introduction

After you assign an agent package to a group in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), the Apache service, httpd.exe, starts to crash with a 0xc0000005 access violation fault from the SECARS module.

Errors similar to the following will be seen in the Windows Event Viewer, the time stamps will differ:

"Faulting application httpd.exe, version 2.4.16.302, time stamp 0x58ef8de0, 
faulting module secars.dll, version 
14.0.2415.200, time stamp 0x59254fc0, exception code 0xc0000005, fault 
offset 0x000106a2, process id 0x4fc, application 
start time 0x01d301855af837ff."

Resolution
