Issue/Introduction

Get a warning in Endpoint Agent Logs. See below:

Thread:
Level: WARNING
Source: AgentServices.NetworkInformation
Message: Added Only <APIPA_Range> to IP address map. Unable to find domain because: Timed out in DNS reverse lookup query for: <APIPA_Range> Error Code: 1460

 

Endpoint agents may see slow performance.

Environment

DLP Agent 15.X, 16.X

Resolution

Start with restarting the endpoint computer, so it might get a network IP address and not a self-signed IP address. 

If this does not work fix the network or network card on the endpoint computer.
