Issue/Introduction

The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Enforce server receives either of the following custom LDAP attribute lookup errors:

Message
Code 2115

Detail Failed to instantiate lookup plug-in com.vontu.lookup.liveldap.LiveLdapLookup. It was unloaded. Error message: Illegal group reference

Resolution

Perform either of the following steps, depending on the situation described.

Add the custom attribute to custom attributes list

If the lookup plug-in contained an attribute mapping to a custom attribute that was not defined in the custom attributes list, follow these steps:

  1. In the Enforce console, go to "System > Incident Data > Attributes".
  2. Click on the "Custom Attributes" tab.
  3. Click the "Add" button.
  4. Define the custom attribute and save it.

Re-index the directory connection

If the index for the directory connection selected in the LDAP plug-in is out of date, follow these steps:

  1. In the Enforce console, go to System > Settings > Directory Connections
  2. Configure the directory connection used by the faulting LDAP Lookup Plug-in
  3. On the Index Settings tab, create a schedule that suits your needs, or a once only index job
  4. Allow the job to complete at its scheduled time, then check the Index and Replication Status tab
  5. If the job has completed successfully the errors should now no longer appear in the console
