After purchasing a renewal or additional seats for your existing Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) cloud license, you experience the following:
You see the error, "Invalid serial number or license key file, please try again."
The license quantity (seat count) or end date does not update.
A single serial number for SEP SBE cloud is now retained for the life of the entitlement. This means you will no longer receive a new serial when your SEP SBE subscription is renewed or when you buy additional licenses.
The dates and quantity will be adjusted on your existing serial number.

To work around this issue, contact Symantec to request that the license be reset, so that you can re-apply the existing serial number or license file.
