Issue/Introduction

When installing DLP Endpoint Agent on Windows 10, you see the error "OpenSCManager failed: Access is denied."

Looking in the installagent.log file, you see the following lines:

Environment

This error typically occurs on Windows 10 before Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update (RS5 v1809).

Resolution

Upgrade to DLP 15.1 or later. See also:
