When using Symantec Endpoint Security (formerly Endpoint Protection (SEP) 15) it will automatically disable the Windows Defender Firewall. In some instances, there may be a need to instead use the Windows Defender Firewall.
Within the Symantec Endpoint Security cloud console:
Go to the Policies section.
Select the Firewall policy applicable to the client group(s).
Toggle the Firewall to Off within the General Settings section.
Then, scroll down to the Advanced Settings section of the Firewall policy
Click on Show Advanced for the Windows Integration component.
Change the drop-down option from its current value (default is Disable Once) to No action.
Click Save Policy
