Issue/Introduction

Hyper-V Vm's with secure boot enabled can't boot to a Deployment Solution (DS) or Ghost Solution Suite (GSS)  PXE server.

PXE-E99 

The image's hash and certificate are not allowed

Environment

Ghost Solution Suite 
Deployment Solution 
Microsoft Hyper-v 
 

Cause

Microsoft hyper-v virtual environments have higher restrictions for secure boot than a physical UEFI system and currently not able to be supported by GSS and DS pxe servers. 

Resolution

Symantec is aware of the issue and will try to address this in a later release.

Symantec has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Symantec is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time.
