Please note that there is a chance that restoring these backups on a new installation/upgrade will fail if they are initially corrupted.
Run the setup file:
To avoid any potential issues during the installation, ensure that the liveupdate or any manual scan is not running in the background prior to running the setup. Then Close the GUI and run the setup file from the installation package of SMSMSE
Download the latest version of Symantec software (SMSMSE 7.9) from our public repository (FileConnect) http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH125408 (If its' not possible to see the latest version there then customer service can provide a temporary license file for downloading the newest version if requested)
Run the Setup file as an admin Then follow the prompts on the screen as described in the implementation guide of the product:
