- Reporter no longer processing logs, all databases and log sources are unloaded and will not load.
- Reports are not available on MC.
- The event logs in Reporter show the following error message:
"Failed to get license component from name list: -14403 License suspended due to license server avoidance".
- Reporter is running 11.x
- Reporter is integrated with MC.
- Reporter cannot communicate with licensing server or license is not installed.
Note: Virtual Reporter needs to be able to constantly contact with Symantec's backend licensing servers, if for some reason Reporter can not do this it will also show a "server avoidance" error message. Make sure that if the Reporter is going through a proxy there is no SSL interception as this will break the session.
- Download the Reporter license from licensing portal and then open in a text editor.
- From the Reporter CLI issue the command:
licensing inline license-key
after pressing enter copy the contents of the license file and then press Ctrl-D to exit.
At this point the device will start to load the log sources and databases and you will see a valid license in the GUI and the CLI.
- To verify license issue the CLI command "show license"
