When viewing default recommended policies automatically applied to new devices, some options are grayed out
A user cannot change their default recommended policy settings
To keep the product secure for less technical users, Endpoint Protection Cloud automatically applies a default recommended policy to provide security without need for customization. Endpoint Protection ClouddoesNOT allow changes to be made to this policy, and this behavior is both intended and expected.
To customize policy, click the "Policies" button on the left-hand side, and then the Plus Sign ("+") followed by whichever policy you intend to alter. From this new policy page, you can name the policy and change any of the settings that are viewable within the recommended default policy. Once you have altered your policy, click "Create Policy" at the top to create the new policy.
Before the effect is seen, it must be applied to the group within which the device you wish to update policy for exists. On the "Policies" screen, find the policy you have created, click the "V" button to the right of it to view additional options, and select "Apply to Group" to overwrite the recommended policy with your newly created custom policy.
