Issue/Introduction

Windows feature update fails with exit code 0. Setup.exe runs for a while with setup files extracted and partially installed.

Screenshot attached what happens when the timeout terminates the update.

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Cause

Software Update timeout set to 1 hour, instead of the default 4 hours.

Resolution

On the SMP Server, check settings> All Settings> Software>Patch Management>Windows Settings>Windows Patch Remediation Settings>Programs tab.

Set the "Terminate after" to 4 hours.

Recreate the Software Update policy distributing the Windows 10 feature update.
