Servers upgrade to Endpoint Protection Cloud and ignore the system policy settings for client upgrades
Last Updated May 01, 2019
During the Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition Cloud (SEP SBE Cloud) upgrade to Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEPC) servers upgrade to SEPC and reboot without warning.
Windows Server OS
Symantec has adjusted the migration process based on the feedback of our partners and customers. In the current design, partners/customers are given a 30 day window after the SEPC account enters Upgrade Mode to manually upgrade their servers to SEPC and thus control when the server reboots to complete the upgrade. This configuration overrides any other System Policies or Scheduled Upgrades that have previously been setup by the partner or customer.
Upgrade the servers to SEPC before the 30 days are up.
There are 3 primary methods to upgrade a server to SEPC.
Servers can be selected for individual upgrade from the SEPC Console by going to Groups, Users, Devices>Managed Devices, hitting the drop-down menu on the right-hand side, and selecting to "Upgrade this Device"
