During a fresh install of ICT 15.5 and configuring the Administration Console, an alert appears when trying to connect the LDAP and Active Directory configurations. This prevents the setup from moving forward.
The submitted data is not valid. Please correct it to contine. (An error occurred while validating the users console group. Please check if the username, password, path to the LDAP and users console group are valid.)
The alert is a generic "error" that can populate for a number of reasons. Although, there are two confirmed scenarios that would cause this to show.
The port number for the SQL server is not set to 1433
This can be checked in the SQL Configuration Manager Properties
The Registry key needs to have the same port number. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\(InstanceName)\MSSQLServer\SuperSocketNetLib\TCP
There is a spelling descrepancy between the AD Configuration Group names and what's listed in the ICT Console configuration
Check the "Active Directory Users and Computers" and make sure all groups are spelled the same when compared to those listed in the ICT Administration Console
