Endpoint protection 14.2 after few minutes/hours of installation malfunctions and gives error while trying to open the Endpoint protection GUI.
"Symantec services are not running"
Check the status of the sysplant drive by issuing sc query sysplant in command prompt
Boot in safe mode
Check if the issue still exists after disabling the sysplant drive by issuing sc config sysplant start= disable
If yes, set the sysplant to Auto by issuing sc config sysplant start= auto
Reboot to Normal Mode
Note: If setting to auto does not work, collect process dump for ccSvxHost.exe and advance the case with your log finding.
