Issue/Introduction

If you disable SymQual (Symantec Quality) system by following way, SymQual still leaves unexpected registry settings under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps.

  • uncheck Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) console > Admin > Servers > Local Site > Edit Site Properties > Data Collection > "Let clients send troubleshooting information to Symantec to resolve product issues faster.".

SEPM 14.0 MP2 and above

Resolution
