Automatic registration of applications/services with Secure Access Cloud (SAC)
Secure Access Cloud
In order to allow access to a corporate application or service via SAC platform, the destination application needs to be defined in an Administration Portal by the administrator.
For environments where automatic registration (i.e., one without the involvement of a human administrator) of corporate applications and services is required, SAC supports Management REST API, that allows registration of applications with SAC platform and assignment of access permissions to users or user groups.
The Management API is only available for organizations owning a valid SAC account.
Following steps need to be performed in order to use the Management API:
Create an API Client in the SAC Administration Portal
Log in to SAC Administration Portal
Navigate to Settings -> API Client
Click on "Create API Client"
Fill the name and the description for the API client and click Save
Copy the Client ID and Client Secret for later use
Develop a client using the REST API
The up-to-date API documentation can be found here. The previous version of the API that is now deprecated was located here.
The documentation provides usage samples, as well as the ability to download
Client ID and Client Secret for a specific API Client can always be retrieved at a later point from the Administration Portal, by choosing the client in the API Clients view:
